Matt Carwardine-Palmer gained senior management experience at Wycombe Swan as Head of Marketing / Marketing Director (2000-2004) and at Bristol Old Vic as Head of Marketing (2004-2006) before going freelance in late 2006.
Matt’s clients range from small companies to national & international flagship organisations, as well as several development agencies. Matt has previously developed, written and advised on marketing and communications strategies for numerous arts organisations, ensuring that a clear action plan is in place for delivery.
Matt is currently working on a project with Baker Richards for Northants Strategic Arts Network and recently wrote a communications strategy for Wiltshire Arts Promoters. In the past, he has undertaken primary research projects for the British Film Institute and Shakespeare’s Globe. He has also provided interim senior management cover at several major arts venues, including Wales Millennium Centre and Royal & Derngate. Matt also works with non-arts clients, including the University of Bristol Students' Union, for whom he wrote an extensive marketing and communications strategy in 2009.
Matt currently manages and delivers all communications activities for Orchestras Live and will be Course Director for the TMA Druidstone 'Essentials of Marketing' course in 2010.
Matt holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Arts Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
